Accessibility Statement

This practice is for everybody, and so is this website.

People come to ROHO Vibes carrying all kinds of things. Pain, grief, exhaustion, a body that does not do what it used to. It would be a strange thing to offer gentle care in person and then put a website in front of someone that they cannot use. So this site is built to be used by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard alone, need larger text, or cannot rely on color to tell things apart.

The standard this site meets

This website is built and tested to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium. That is the standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act for websites like this one.

Accessibility is not a box that gets ticked once. Every time a page changes, it gets checked again, and anything that slips gets fixed.

What that means in practice

  • It works without a mouse. Every link, button, and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard, and you can always see where you are.
  • It works with a screen reader. Headings are in a sensible order, every form field has a real label, images carry descriptions, and there is a skip link so you do not have to sit through the menu on every page.
  • You can read it. Text is set large by default and every piece of it has been measured against the background behind it to make sure there is enough contrast.
  • You can zoom it. The whole site reflows down to a 320 pixel screen and up to 200 percent zoom without anything getting cut off or lost.
  • It calms down if you ask it to. If your device is set to reduce motion, the gentle animations on this site stop.
  • Color is never the only signal. Anything marked by color is also marked some other way.

Where it might still fall short

Automated testing catches a good deal and it does not catch everything, and no honest website will tell you otherwise. The booking calendar is provided by an outside scheduling service, so parts of it are not mine to change directly, though I will chase anything that gets in your way.

If something on this site is hard to use, that is worth knowing about and it is not a bother. Tell me what page you were on and what happened, and I will fix it.
